I believe in mocking

For the last two weeks, Scott Adams has been blogging about mysticism and predictably stirring up the crazies. The highlight is when he questions the need to respect beliefs, and asserts “Mockery is an important social tool for squelching stupidity.”

I dissent. There is no value to mocking.
Mocking feeds the evil voices in the head.
In fact, I mock your mocking: “Oooh, I’m going to make myself feel big by putting others down…. I can’t find healthy ways to meet my emotional needs…. you suck, so I’m cool.” - Mr. Issues , (Eminem)

Self mockery, however, kicks booty. And pirates love booty.
