I ignored this self-annointed viral post the first two times I saw it, but I finally gave in to reading it, and am have to give props for the Daniel Dennett citation.

Predictions

The Iowa Election Markets tend to be one of the more accurate predictors of election results. For almost a month now, the simulations have predicted that the GOP will hold the US Senate but lose the House. Interestingly, the last-minute uptick in Republican poll standings have not been reflected there.

Election day observations
