Heir to the throne

With As the Apple Turns defunct for over a year, where is an unapologetic Apple fanboy supposed to get his regular dose of humorous zealotry?

Macalope to the rescue:
Is your wife there? Can you put her on the phone? Because… damn, woman.

I went to that site, and the first two things I saw were not about how great Apple’s product was, but rather how much Microsoft products suck. Actually, the second thing I saw was basically about how much I suck.

So, the entire subculture of Mac zealots thinks you are an idiot for not being one of them? Shake it off.

Yeah, about the iPhone: what’s the storage capacity there? Enough for one of the movies I’m supposed to watch on it? Super-convenient!

I would utterly be one of you if you weren’t such dicks about everything.

Seriously? You’re making purchase decisions because you don’t want to use the same tools that dicks like me use?

It’s just the cultist marketing! I can’t deal with the approach. I don’t want to be a cool kid; I just want an MP3 player.

Sounds more like you specifically want to be bobo. Which is just subculture-cool.

But who cares? How is it wise for you to choose a tool that people won’t even notice you have based on that product’s marketing? If you were refusing to wear the ubiquitous white earbuds outside, then fine; be a rebel! It’s the chic thing to do. But it’s just as sophomoric to declare you won’t be buying Apple products simply because they clash with your nonconformist persona than it is to buy a Hummer because you gotta keep up a tough image.
