FAIL Stamp

In February of 2007, when the “FAIL” meme was still fresh, I had a gift made for my PM Director so she could denote inadequate requirements documentation.

FAIL stamp

I eventually posted a picture on flickr. It was shortly used by TechCrunch and gradually found its way to dozens of sites, including Grist, GigaOm, ZDNet, Mother Jones, and Lifehacker. It even inspired Facebook groups from Kansas to England.

Eventually a peddler of tchotchkes produced a small, plastic version. I recommend, however, a classic wooden stamp and big pad of ink.

I posted this in March 2011 during week 1931.
