Week 2705

The big news of the week should be that I went through my ceremony on Monday and am now a Dutch citizen! The next morning, Shannon already applied to follow, so we will soon be 100% done with the immigration authorities.

In the moment, I’m more excited that our friend Kelly has agreed to shepherd the house renovation process in our absence. So as I write this from New Orleans, I feel like I can actually be here.

The AirBnB is a bit small and spartan, we’ll see how well Shannon and I get by working from here. But we have already shared drinks with friends, found a walkable source for good chai, and done some shopping.
