Maybe I’m in a honeymoon phase with my chosen country, but 14 years in I still am amazed at how positive international social media is about the Netherlands and Dutch culture. YouTube is awash with “why can’t we be more like them” videos and this Instagram reel poking (totally fair) fun of Dutch tourists was met with a litany of “they are my favorite visitors” comments.
